With all your support, we just planted 130 trees in Douglas County Forest in Wisconsin.
Douglas County was hit by a large wind storm in the summer of 2010 and 2011.The goal is to replant more than 500 acres in the spring to replenish red pine and Jack pine habitat lost to straightline winds.
This time of year, I always head to the shade of the nearest tree for relief from the summer heat. Birds and other animals use trees too for their protection and habitat. It is amazing to think that together we planted so many trees. I look forward to many more plantings!
